Questions buyers ask
How big is it in real life?
It's 14 × 14 × 12 inches, about the width of a dinner plate. That makes it a small, cosy pendant, not a statement chandelier. It suits bedsides, reading corners and smaller dining tables.
Will it look too small over my dining table?
On its own, it suits a 2–4 seater table. For a 6 seater, hang 2 or 3 in a row about 2 ft apart. Rule of thumb: if your table is longer than 4 ft, one pendant will look lost, so go for a cluster.
Will it go with my ceiling height?
It comes with a 3 ft cord, which is right for the 9 ft ceilings most Indian flats have. At that height, the bottom of the shade sits about 5 ft from the floor, right above a dining table or beside a bed. Your electrician can shorten the cord on site if you want it higher.
I have a ceiling fan. Will that be a problem?
Keep it at least 1.5 ft away from the fan blades. Too close and the breeze makes it sway, and the blades can cast a flicker through the light. Beside a bed or over a dining table usually works, since the fan is in the middle of the room.
Will my false ceiling take the weight?
Yes. Cane is very light, and this weighs about 450g. That's well within what a gypsum or POP false ceiling can hold. If your electrician prefers, they can also screw a small hook into the slab above.
Which bulb should I use?
An E27 warm white LED, 2700–3000K, 7–9W. Warm white brings out the cane and the petal shadows. Cool white (6500K) makes it look flat and clinical. The bulb isn't included.
How does cane handle humidity and the monsoon?
Indoors, it does well. Two rules: keep it away from open windows where rain can reach it, and if it ever gets damp, let it dry fully.
When will it reach me, and what if it arrives damaged?
It ships within 7 business days, and delivery is free anywhere in India. If it arrives damaged, we replace it. Send us an unboxing video within 48 hours of delivery and we'll ship a new one.
